Do I have to pay sales tax on my on-line order?

Only if your order is shipping within (or picking up from) Virginia as we are required by law to charge you sales tax. Otherwise there is no charge for sales tax.

Are he boats U.S. Coast Guard approved?

Inflatable boats used for recreation purposes are not Coast Guard approved. However, we are NMMA, ISO, and CE certified. 

Can I inflate my boat with an air compressor at the gas station or any type of air compressor? 

No. Air compressors deliver more pressure than needed for our boats. You can over inflate the boat using one. 

How can I tell if my boat is fully inflated?

This depends on the boat you have. For the Transom Sport Boats, Explorer Kayaks, PaddleSki and FoldCat your boat will not take anymore air once completely inflated. If you are using the MB100 or BST12 electric pumps they will shut off automatically.
For the Motor-mount Boats and SE330 Kayak you have an inflation gauge that should reach 10 cm for full inflation.

Why are some boats more expensive than others?

Reinforced Hull Material A. Our Sport Runabouts, Explorer Kayaks , and Paddleski series are made with a reinforced 1000 denier hull material, which is composed of an inner base cloth and outer PVC coatings. This composite construction gets the best out of both materials - the tensile strength of the base cloth and the airtightness of the PVC. These boats can take 3.2 PSI and are much firmer to the touch than nonreinforced boats, and this hull strength allows for large outboard motors for the transom boats. These are higher end items, but their appeal is not limited to boating nuts.

PVC Welding process Our SE-330 and Motormount Fishing Boats are made of a solid PVC material, which holds a lighter pressure of .75 PSI. This lower pressure is fine for their intended use as these boats do not take large motors and are not meant for extreme whitewater. The continuous material allows these boats to be high-frequency welded, a process that is highly automated and efficient. These products are much more affordable and better suited to general audiences.

Why can't I use a larger or heavier motor than recommended for my boat?

The boats are rated accordingly by the NMMA, exceeding the maximum capacity in any fashion could result in a fine or summons. Your boat will also suffer in performance.
